Stay Focused on the End

Have you ever felt on top of your game only to experience something that totally throws you off center.

When change or life happening occurs, it can reeks havoc on neatly organized time management plans.

Changes such as:

  • Leadership
  • Re-organizations
  • High Turn Over
  • Market Direction
  • Culture Fundamentals
  • Personal Life Transitions
  • (Marriage, Divorce, Illness, Death, New Baby, Job Promotion/Downsizing)

Symptoms that Change is Causing Stress

  • Silo Communication/Management
  • Crisis Oriented Management
  • Change in Leadership/Culture Direction
  • Gossip/Negativity in the Workplace
  • High Turnover

During these times of transition and change stress goes up and effective communication goes down.

Focus goes from strategic level to tactical in an attempt to stabilize the equation.

How Energy Management Can Help You

Energy management when embraced, automatically keeps your focus on the strategic level. It naturally keeps you focused on the outcome you desire rather on the obstacles presenting themselves.   It gives you the ability to think “outside” your box and see solutions.

This Week’s Energy Management Tip

Stay Focused on Your Outcome

  • Take a moment and see yourself successfully completing your objective.
  • See your team feeling the success you desire to create.
  • Notice the feeling or the experience your success has created, this is what we call the “Outcome”
  • Come up with ways you and your team can stay focused on the end.

It is more important that you focus on the feeling you think your task/objective will bring you.  This is what gives you the energy/motivation to overcome any obstacle you may face.
